Ternifine 1 (1954-7-825)3 is the catalog name of a fossil mandible of Homo erectus, also known as Ternifine 1, Ternifine I, Tighennif I, note 1 Atlanthropus I, and others. It was found in the locality now known as Tighennif, Muaskar province (Algeria) by Camille Arambourg and Robert Hoffstetter in 1954 and announced by themselves shortly thereafter and, still in 1954, described by Camille Arambourg.
