Discovered in 1903 by D. Hermilio Alcalde del Río, the Cave - El Castillo is one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. The interior of the cave reaches 760 meters. The animals represented by paleolithic artists are: deer, bison, aurochs, horses, and the figure of an elephant (probably a mammoth), engraved or painted in red, black or ochre and violet tones. There are many symbols or signs in the form of disks and hand prints that are characteristic elements of the cave.
