Willendorf II – an open site where the presence of Upper Palaeolithic strata is confirmed. This site is located in Austria near Krems an der Donau. At this site, strata from the period of approx. 40,000 years ago were discovered. years ago, where there are Aurignacian inventories, and in layers from the period of 30-24 thousand. years ago, the guiding tool forms of the Gravettian culture are found. In the Gravettian layers, researchers discovered an anthropomorphic figurine of the so-called Venus of Willendorf II, which is on display at the Vienna Natural History Museum.
