Pincevent is a prehistoric open-air site located in the commune of La Grande-Paroisse, Seine-et-Marne, in the Seine Valley, downstream from Montereau-Fault-Yonne.

It is the largest Magdalenian deposit excavated in Europe and one of the best preserved1. He delivered the remains of a seasonal Magdalenian encampment of reindeer hunters dating back to about 12,300 BC. Its discovery in 1964, then its excavation under the direction of André Leroi-Gourhan, allowed significant progress in the knowledge of the Magdalenian but also in the methods of prehistoric archaeology.
