Ohaba Ponor is a commune in Pui Commune, Hunedoara County, Transylvania, Romania. It is located in the southern part of the county, in the Şureanu Mountains.

Vestiges of the Mousterian culture (triangular tips, bifacial foliate pieces, scrapers, etc., made mainly of flint and quartzite chips) belonging to the Neanderthal man (Homo primigenius) were discovered here. Three phalanges were also found, constituting the first fossil osteological traces of Paleolithic man (120,000 - 30,000 BC).
