The Grotte des Ramandils is a Paleolithic cave located in the commune of Port-la-Nouvelle in the Aude department. The cave, although small, contains an important archaeological site of Mousterian culture, dating to the late Middle Paleolithic.

Overall, human occupation is due to Neanderthals between 110 and 40 ka (kiloyears) before the present, or 110,000 to 40,000 years before the present. All dating is done by various methods. For example, uranium-thorium dating indicates occupation by Neanderthals dating from MIS 5, between 94 and 77 kya (94000 and 77000 years ago).
