The Moradies cave is located in the commune of Marthon, Charente, 8 km southwest of Montbron and 23 km southeast of Angoulême, in the Bandiat valley.
The Moradies cave was excavated in 1875 by S. Dulignon-Desgranges. His notes indicate the presence of the reindeer.
His collection, deposited at the Musée d'Aquitaine in Bordeaux is dated to the Upper Paleolithic, in particular the Magdalenian.
This site yielded a slightly worn right lower molar that can be attributed to the Magdalenian.
