The Grotte de la Balauzière is a site of prehistoric settlement occupied from the Middle Paleolithic to the Neolithic. The cave is located in the commune of Vers-Pont-du-Gard, in the French department of Gard.
Concerning prehistory, ancient excavations have yielded human occupations of the Mousterian (Mousterian Quina), Aurignacian (ancient Aurignacian), probably Gravettian and Neolithic periods.
In the Middle Ages, a hermitage was built around the cave, encompassing it. The building is now in ruins.
