The Commarque Cave is a prehistoric decorated cave located at the castle of Commarque, in the territory of Sireuil, commune of Les Eyzies, in the Dordogne department, Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
During the occupation of the cave during Magdalenian III or early Magdalenian IV, the landscape is a meadow with many varieties of herbaceous and very few trees. There is no steppe or marsh.
According to Delluc et al. (1981), "the engravers experienced a narrow gallery, where one progressed standing except at the ends, but where one had to bend a little in places, especially at the back of the entrance room to access the fork, in the gallery on the right to join the panel of horse No. 13 and perhaps also at the entrance hole itself.
The inhabited part during the Magdalenian is near the entrance.
