Buran Kaya is a multi-layered Stone Age site in Crimea. It is located in the rock canopy of Mount Buran-Kaya in the middle reaches of the Burulcha River (Crimea, Belogorsky District).
A study of bone remains from the Paleolithic site of Buran-Kaya III showed that the inhabitants of the site, who lived 33-38 thousand years ago, in addition to a plant diet, ate land animals (mammoths, red deer, horses, saigas, and hares), and not fish.
